iTunes stuttering issues/ missing info on files

    Hi guys,

There are 2 issues I am trying to resolve at the moment one which has been ongoing and triggered a clean reinstall to try to resolve and the other that has occurred since the install.

    Firstly,

I am having trouble playing HD files in iTunes. Playback is stuttering and freezing during HD playback but not SD. Previously it was both but now the SD files are playing without incident. CPU is being taxed to 100% during playback. New memory module has been installed due to faulty one being identified after reinstall of OS.

I am running alienware m15x (first version, so coming up on 3yrs) with windows 7. Although the computer is getting on the components are still nearly top of the line performance wise. There is a blueray drive installed and other HD audio therefore I would be very confused to see it was the specs that were the problem here. See end of post for specs. Please let me know if you think they may be causing any issues.

    Secondly,

After the reinstall I moved all my iTunes purchases to an external hard drive to prevent loss. However I have noticed that Lost Season 3 is only showing up as Lost in the TV Show Library. I have tried manually managing the iTunes folders and creating a new library but neither has resolved the issue.

Does anyone know how edit the files info through the library files, it appears they can be opened in a web browser but I couldn't find the right place to edit.

    Alienware m15x Ripley model
    OS: Win7 64-bit.
    iTunes: 64-bit
    Processor: Intel core 2 extreme CPU x9000 @ 2.80GHz
    BIOS: Quanta vX36 P3, 29/08/08
    Installed memory: 4GB
Graphics: NVDIA GeForce 8800M GTX 512MB
BD ROM: Optiarc BD ROM BC-5500A ATA (can't find r/w speeds)

If you need any further system info please ask :)

    Thanks in advance x
