    Splitting a movie


    Hello
    Which is easy and good software to split a movie into pieces? like part 1, part 2 and so on.

    Windows Movie Maker or Windows Live Movie Maker can do that very easily. Both are free MS components.

    hmm isnt there any software in which i put the value like make this movie to parts and each part should b of 9:45mins ?

    Not to my knowledge. You have to also consider that the playtime of a video can vary from system to system depending on hardware and other factors.
    But with the 2 Movie Makers you can play your video to the point of time where you want to split it and then split exactly at that point. But after publishing the pieces, the timing might be off depending on the quality level you choose

    Welcome to Windows7 Support Forums,
    I believe there is a 32 bit Windows compatable program called HJ Split.
    HJ only breaks down and puts back together a video in user select size. When you select a video and decide on the size of each piece it breaks the video down and renames each part by changing the extender.

    That doesn't output in .mp4 isn't it?
    Well I managed to split files with Boilsoft Video Splitter and believe me its awesome!
