Yeah me too Barman but isn't EaseUS just too easy and quick to be true. I have even tried it out cloning to a 3.0 & 2.0 USB externals and well it seems to me to be nearly as quick as system image form Windows which I find nearly always throws up pop ups saying it didn't finish properly.
Mind you I have noticed those SI's do stick at certain files and then one has to skip them to get it going again.

I have had a quick flick through but didn't see this one - anyone come across it as it sounds rather interesting and perhaps handy.

    LiberKey - Portable Applications
Yes Have used it in the past and though good I find PortableApps.com - Portable software for USB, portable and cloud drives more polished, Though Liberkey can be more efficient - I have actually run both on the same PenDrive :)
Have been using LiberKey for a while and Portable Apps recently.
    Both are good.

Macrium Reflect is a good free backup, Imagining, Cloning, program.

You can also get free versions of Acronis if you have a Seagate or Western Digital HDD in you system.

I've used all three mentioned above and never had any problems.

I've been using LiberKey also both as a portable on a USB stick and installed on the C drive for instant access to utilities I don't need often. The great thing about LiberKey is that your tools are always at the latest versions.

Free Internet Window Washer - index.dat overwrite

The subject of index.dat files came up on the browsers forum today. On search I found a nice freeware that overwrites them, among other things. It's called
    Free Internet Window Washer

It will overwrite index.dat without a reboot. You can even leave it in the tray and set it to wash your browsing files at intervals.

    Enjoy :)

    OverDisk v0.11 beta

OverDisk is a disk usage browser. It can be used to quickly find out how a partition's space is distributed among the file system hierarchy.
I've currently stopped working on it, due to a bug in the libraries of the original developing environment. However, I intend to move the project into another suite and incorporate more features from some other utilities I have. So, stay tuned... final version coming Real Soon Now™

I've used NTREGOPT and never had a problem. It takes the simple approach of copying the registry hives and marking the old ones for deletion on next boot. Very little to go wrong.

I remember NTREGOPT! But WinASO RegDefrag works exactly the same way, only it's a little more polished.

Mind you, defragmenting the registry isn't much use unless you're cleaning up a system that's been used a long time and/or has lots of junk installed...but WinASO is my personal favorite. :)
