    Andrea Mosaic (AndreaMosaic Home Page)
With AndreaMosaic you can create your own photographic mosaics made with your own pictures. A photo mosaic is an image composed of many tiled photos.

Works with no problem under W7 RC (checked portable version, but it has installation one too).

Free with restriction of effect picture to 200 megapixels, 30 thousands tiles, and 100 thousands of pics in collection (more than enough for private use). After donation of more then 30 EUR we get restriction rised to 8 gigapixels, 500 thousands tiles, and 500 thousands pics collection.
It works with one core now, but guy is working on multi-core, or even CUDA use.

I used this on an old XP system, and the results were fascinating and impressive. It ran sloooow on a P-III. I'll have to try it under Windows 7 and a better processor.

Thanks for the reminder of a good program from a nice guy. :)

On XP I swore by AVG, ZoneAlarm, Spybot and Adaware for all my protection.

I have not been able to keep ZoneAlarm's free F/W, so I thought I would give Comodo a whirl since I had heard good things about it.

I just installed Comodo A/V and F/W and it SEEMS to be running fine...I noticed that it is not on the list. Are there still issues with it and 7?

Also, is it worth installing Spybot and Adaware on 7, or is that over doing it?

I would suggest you install Spybot S&D but only in offline mode so that it does not conflict with Comodo IS - just run it once in a while manually to double check your system.

Not released yet, still in beta, but looks like another fine product by the good folks at Piriform .

I think it's overdoing it, but I don't think it would hurt anything.

Comodo Internet Security works fine on W7. Great app, although I mainly use the firewall part of it.

You might want to also install the free version of Malware Bytes as an additional on demand scanner. It's one of the best malware removers available. I've successfully used it to clean several infections (on other peoples machines).
