Windows 7: Windows Live Contacts

Windows Live Contacts

I have XP at work, Windows 7 at home. I switched to WLM at work on XP to try it out before I went with Windows 7 at home. They store contacts similarly (user/local/Appdat/MS/Windows Live Contacts). On XP I show 5 folders (identities?, big long string name) in the contacts folder. Why are there 5? The DB files in each are all different sizes, but I can't tell which is used when I open WLM. I'd like to delete the 4 I don't need, and back up the one that's used. Any clue?

If I log-in on-line (I seldom do), it'd be nice to know which is syncing (if any). My goal would be to sync work Desktop, to on-line, to home... but if I have 5 identities, I want the correct one to sync (or I don't want a blank online DB to cause either my home or work to disappear). I have no clue how/what is syncing in "Live" mode. Help understanding is appreciated.
