Need new application laucher for win7 64

I've been using a application launcher called control runner for years.

Its has some serious issues in win7 64 so I am looking for a new one vs waiting for a fix.

I can't find anything like control runner. There use to be tons of apps like this in the old days. I find it easier to organize my apps. Just a simple interface with boxes and tabs at the bottom for organization. ie. Click the tab that says games and it has a 12x12 grid of my games.

Can drag any icon to a box from the desktop.

Its not flashy but is efficient.

Control Runner | An advanced program launcher for Windows | MomSoft. Utilities and office productivity tools for Windows and Microsoft Office

take a look and see if you can think of any win 7 64 launchers that are similar.

    Thanks !

I was in a similar situation as you. My Vista sidebar AppLauncher did not work in 64bit either. The closest I could come up with was the use of the toolbars. If you organize them intelligently with subfolders, they are really handy and very flexible in the setup. Example where you can still see the remains of the AppLauncher - but this picture was taken on a tweaked 32bit Windows7.

I just found a application utility that is a contender. Very fast too.

RecentX Videos - Find any file, find any folder, find any program, find any bookmark - RecentX: Intelligent Launcher Program for Windows 7/Vista/XP

Its a bit different but is super at keeping files and folders organized.

Worth checking out and its 64 bit ready.

Watch the short video, its a good find for sure.
