Windows 7: Corrupt PDF files

Does anyone know of a free software or even just a fully functional trial software that can view or repair corrupt PDF files.

I have done some brief searching of my own but havnt been able to find anything.

Any help is appritiated

How are they corrupt?

Will they not open, are they encrypted?

Are there any error messages?

If it's truly corrupt there's not much that can be done but hopefully this isn't the case.

Yeah, a bit more info helps. However it sounds more like the pdf viewer you're using is the problem. Speaking of viewer, which one are you using?

You can try Rercovery Toolbox for PDF. The demo will fix the FIRST page ONLY. Buy the full version for $27. Do a google search for the product. I haven't used it, but it seems to be about the cheapest product out there. I'd also like to know how they are getting "corrupted". Maybe you need to update your pdf reader? Are they really pdf files???? Which version are the pdf files? What error message(s) are you getting?

Thank you for the replies, and thanks for showing me the Recovery Toolbox for pdf, it allowed me to view it at least. This pdf was sent by an outside customer. Here is the message im getting when trying to open it with adobe.

Now that was a real helpful error message.. NOT. Anyways, can you contact the customer, explain that the pdf was corrupted and see if they can redo/re-send it?

have you tried opening the pdf with an alternative viewer?

try foxit reader instead. it's free, fast and good software, just be careful while installing it, as it can install the 'ask toolbar' if you arent careful.
