    Adobe Photoshop CS5 12.01 Update Released

    Update from Photoshop CS5 12.0 to 12.01 available. Changelog below-



       Information

    The Adobe® Photoshop® CS5 12.0.1 update addresses a number of high priority bugs with 64-bit Mac, Performance, User Interface, Type, Content-Aware Fill, HDR, 3D, Painting, GPU and Liquify implemented after Adobe Photoshop CS5 and Photoshop CS5 Extended (12.0.0) were released.


    The most significant fixes in the Photoshop 12.0.1 update include the following:


    • A number of issues that could cause slow performance have been addressed.
    • Top crashers found in the field have been addressed.
    • 3D refractions, Ray Tracing and IBL workflows improved.
    • Out of memory error opening some TIFFs has been addressed.
    • A crash in Content Aware Fill has been addressed.
    • Font related crashes have been addressed.
    • Scroll wheel issue addressed.
    • A number of user interface and workspace issues addressed.
    • A number of painting issues addressed, including video layer issue.
    • Droplet issues addressed.

    Startup time for one thing seems a bit improved for me, at least.

    Here i am just got on and thinking there should be updates for CS5 by now..here i am seeing this thread..lol thanks Aaron.

    Adobe is generally incredibly stingy about updates. (Except for Camera Raw because of the new cameras that come out every month with different raw formats)

    So it is good to see them actually updating PS. There are a lot of slowness issues that have been there for years. It would be nice to see them take a break from the version cycling for a year and just work on the base code (especially the networking stuff) and make it much faster before moving onto CS6 at this point. (Or at SOME point)
