Good Program to PERMANENTLY Files
I read something that said even if you delete a file it'll stay on your PC somewhere. Is there a good program that will PERMANENTLY get rid of a file? I have TuneUp Utilities 2010.

Oh, no nothing like that. I have some music files I'd like to permanetly get rid of. I'm very anal about what goes onto my Laptop and I let a friend borrow it and he put a few programs and files on it.
Yeah this is an ancient issue, though WIndows 7 can make it even worse by storing copies of files.
On the one hand being able to recover them from accidental deletion has saved probably millions of peoples skins On the other, making sure that sensitive personal information is completely wiped from a drive is potentially dificult.
It is technically possible to wipe individual files from normal hard drives, so there is probably a tool out there to do it. (time to google) You need to do it before you delete the file though.
(As an aside, SSDs add a new wrinkle to the process that may leave parts of files recoverable even if your "zeroize" them using traditional tools O.O)
I use Eraser..not sure if the FBI or CIA or w/e can still recover them after tho...
I can never find them after so I guess there gone...it's also free and there's 32 and 64 bit version's.
Shift + delete will be fine for you. That's it. This will permanently delete them, and not just send them to the recycle bin. This means the sectors are marked as writeable, and as you use your hard drive, the locations will be written over. There's no need to do anything more, if it's just music files.
