    Keyboard locker


    Does anyone know of a keyboard locker? My cat likes to walk on my laptop when I walk away. If I close the lid, it gets too hot, and if I lock it, I have to put my password in every time. I'm looking for something that can be enabled/disabled with a mouse click. Thanks.

    OS X 10.8.3 (12D78), Windows 7 Home Premium on the Samsung and on a partition and a VM on my Mac.

    I've been using this for a few years and it's just fine. It may not be what you are looking for, but it's very easy to use. No configuration unless dropping it into the Start Up folder is called 'configuration.'

    BTW, sorry to revive a three year old thread but I was looking for the original link so I could install the app on a Windows (Parallels) installation on a MacBook Pro when I saw this question. I had forgotten that I had an account here.

I heard reports of a new piece of malware that is going around. This one is particularly nasty, It Encrypts all of the data on your drive and mapped network drives with a RSA 256 bit AES key. Once encrypted there is no way to decrypted. The only way to get the files back is from an off site backup...
Do you use bit locker? It seems that if it goes wrong it can really seriously go wrong....I guess back up data BEFORE you install bit locker... Anyways, just interested to hear if you guys use it thanks

Hi all, just wondered of anybody knew of a free desktop file locker, got two daughters who want to keep music and pictures away from each other!!!! I used to use Easy file locker, but can't get it to work with Windows 7 64bit. Many thanks.

Can anyone point me to a technical paper for the version of Bit Locker that is in Windows 7? I specifically need to know if it has FIPS 140-2 support
