When I click on links I get about.com blank instead of link I want. What setting do I need to look at and/or change? I have Windows 7 64 bit. Thanks

I have had the same problem on occasion. Never lasted long. I always think I have malware when it occurs and I start checking. Never found anything. It is one of many things I never really understood.

    What browser are you using?

Gonna assume your using IE8 (i think about thingies are only one that used by IE?) Have you tried a different browser? Firefox web browser | Faster, more secure, & customizable Opera browser | Faster & safer internet | Free download Google Chrome - Get a fast new browser. For PC, Mac, and Linux to see if its your browser or the PC?

I am assuming you are using IE8 ?

If you have another browser ( Firefox , Opera , Chrome ) check the links in those browsers , if they come up then it is a problem with IE , I recently had the same problem .... sort of , could not log into facebook , I had to uninstall then do a clean install of IE8.

Can IE8 actually be uninstalled? I thought it was buried in the OS and couldnt be completely removed?

Yuo may have downloaded something that put an add-on to your browser. Check in the upper corner under tools & see if you can disable any add-ons you don't want.

Do you have an email program set up so it knows what to use?

Here's some info you can check out,

Windows 7 IE 8 will not respond to external links
