Windows 7: Host script error

Host script error

Can anyone help me please. I keep getting this error message: Microsoft R console based script host has stopped working. Click OK to close the program.

Windows 7 x64 pro/ Windows 7 x86 Pro/ XP SP3 x86
 
 

1) Try using Autoruns to find out what may be causing cscript.exe to run some scripts.

2) Check whether the behaviour persists in Safe Mode and Clean Boot.

3) You can also try running an sfc scan to repair possibly corrupted system files.

It happens when I use the media application (audio/recording)

I've been looking around for a solution,Jeanco.I'm not that experienced with all of this,yet through my research am led to ask you if you have a working .NET Framework installed on your OS?

Yes I have - It used to work perfectly before. Then I cleaned my registry with uniblue, and this happened. I have since tried to restore it but no luck. Thank you spending your time to help.

Maybe you could try the third option posted by Bill2 above.

Also,possibly a repair install of your OS:Repair Install

A clean to Far...! You'll have to dig which had been cleaned in the backup files and try to merge the .reg if its still exist!!
