| | SQL Update SP2 and SP3 will not install I have been having a time with this. I have some Win 7 Pro machines where we are getting prompted to install the SQL 2005 security update SP 2 and SP3. Neither will install and fail when trying to apply on shutdown. I know this is a big issue on the net as I see countless other threads. I have tried the registry fix where you change it from a 1 to a 0, but mine were all on Zero. I have tried turning off the Windows Update Service, delete the files in the Software Distribution folder and renaming the edb file in the data folder and then installing the software. It seems to work at first, but then the update Excalamtion comes back and it's pointing to the same two updates. I'm at my wits end that I cannot install this. Help! |
