Nero Multimedia Suite 10 my feedback

Just bought Nero Multimedia Suite 10, replacing Nero 9 version 9.4.39.0, and I am very impressed, even though Nero ShowTime is no more, it got replaced by Nero MediaHub10 now....that's the only thing I need getting used to... I actually missed ShowTime

Have all my plug-ins (DTS, Blu-Ray, Grace-note, and mp3PRO), and additional programs, Nero Move-It, and Nero Media Home 4 (that was separate by the way).

Runs much faster and smoother, less waiting (depends on your hardware), and a cleaner interface.

The system requirements is very intensive if you need to burn HD files, encode, re-code HD movies, a Minimum of 50GB hard drive backup, 2GB RAM (more is much better), 2GHz + CPU chip, a Blu-ray Disc recordable or rewritable drive for burning and video authoring as seen on Nero Vision (it picks up my optical drives as it should).

I played a DVD in 5.1 and DTS surround, sounds great, I'm still tinkering with the Blu-Rays though...

BackItUp10 is probably the best software I have ever used to back up my files, I couldn't pick any other program to do it.

Nero10 was made for Windows 7 x32bit or x64 bit.

    Overall, another satisfied customer

Here's the screen shots of Nero StartSmart10, Nero MediaHub10, NeroBurningROM10, Nero Vision10, Nero BackItUp10 (Nero BackItUp & Burn)

If you need any help, or have any questions, I would be more than helpful to answer no matter how simple, or complex.

    Take care....

I preferred Nero when it was just a burning program. Now I prefer free alternatives (CDBurnerXP, InfraRecorder, etc).

Nero isn't just a burning program anymore.
It has advanced so much I have been mostly satisfied by the number of improvements over the years:)
Everyone has their own fave software to pick and choose from, whatever makes them happy
    Take care JonM33.

I understand that. The thing is that not all of us needed the extra bloatware. Nero started out as a CD/DVD burning program at relative cheap cost and became a bloated suite. So they lost a lot of loyal customers who just wanted a program to burn data projects.

I used Nero WaveEditor, however it lowered the Bitrate on a song I edited from 320 to 144vbr. Any ideas?

I'm still using the Nero 8 suite.

Are there any improvements in the video encoding based on quality or speed?

I actually really like Nero myself, and have been quite happy with it.
Seems like it might be a lot of bloatware, but I have used all of it a few times for something or another.

Its Back it Up & Burn was a lot better than I expected it to be as well. The only reason I do not use it is have & prefer Acronis.

    Anyway ..

I'm debating on whether to upgrade or not. Currently, Im using version 9.

So, my main concern is about the suite would be the Media Hub.

I just look through my Win7 Video library folder, and play my videos through Showtime.

I really like Showtime so thats why Ive been putting it off.
In fact, my prefered Video Player.

Mind sharing some more specific thoughts and details about it please, in general?
Does it still play MKV etc like showtime will?
    Bluray playback?

I just purchased Nero Multimedia Suite 10 and have never used this program before. I've spent hours creating a slide and video show, with music and very impressed that I was able to put this together!

So, now I am stuck! I created my slideshow in Nero Vision 10 and have my project saved on my hard drive. I would like to burn it to a DVD so that I can watch it on a DVD player. Does anyone know how I can do this? I'm frustrated!! I would greatly appreciate the help!

Well actually, they have a free version for non-commercial (personal) use that does just the CD and DVD burning for someone who needs something lightweight.
