Is it there right after a reboot?

Test: Reboot your machine, go directly to youtube and play a vid, does it pop?

Try and notice if it happens after your computer goes into any of the sleep or hibernation modes.

    Hi everybody!

I have the same problem! When I listening music (player process priority: high) and surfing on the internet, I started hearing popping/dropping sounds (i mean: the music miss out for a few milliseconds).

I have a X-FI Xtreme Gamer, but i've tried my onboard too. This happens only on Windows 7. On XP, everything worked fine, giving priority to the player process is enough.
I've tried playing music with jetAudio, Winamp, MediaMonkey, Media Player. I've tried asio output, wave output. Now, I have no idea... please help!

    My system: Asus M2N; Athlon X2 4200+; 2GB RAM; 1TB HDD.

Yeah, restarting works for a while (days to weeks) but after a while it comes back. I've the same issue, and a lot of other people as well - it's a serious audio issue in Windows 7.

All we can do is to wait until M$ fixes it.
