low-power audio

I have this problem, when my computer goes idle, windows will turn off my sound card..

not a bad ideal but every time the sound card comes back on it causes my speakers to make a loud annoying pop..

is there away to shut this option off and leave the sound card on all the time..

don't see the need to save power because my pc has no battery.
