    Realtek Taskbar Icon Missing.

And I don't know why it should be. I know you can hit that arrow/caret and adjust the preferences of when you see an icon, and it has always been selected as "Show Icons and Notifications." It still is. And I can even open the program through the control panel, and it still doesn't show up in the taskbar. I've selected its little "I" for Information, and bubbled in the "Display icon in notification area." It still doesn't show up. So now I'm sort of at a loss for where it went, and why. It is neither in the taskbar nor in the hidden taskbar icons. It is nowhere. What do the experienced minds propose be done here?

Well, the icon is back up now after a reboot or two. And now the icon responds to toggling the bubbled "display icon in notification area." So for whatever reason, it wasn't doing it before, but a reboot fixed it. Sorry to bother you. Problem resolved!

It had happened to me once. No need of rebooting. Go to ControlPanel->and search for realtek audio manager->click on the "i"(information) icon on the lower right side of realtek audio manager window->reselect the option"display in notification area". And you are done. It solved for me. Please let me know if it didnt work.
