Dell Audio doesn't work on my Dell computer

Dell Audio doesn't work on my Dell computers but Realtek does. Why is Dell Audio on my computer if I can't get it to work? It looks like a better program with far more features.

Can't say. More info on what you are referring to and you haven't stated what the Dell model is.

Normally, "Dell Audio" as I would define it is actually the hardware drivers such as Realtek. Unless you are referring to add on such as Creative SoundBlaster motherboard, which is just a software enhancement and not the actual sound driver such as Realtek.

I worked the Dell forums for 10 years and never heard the term "Dell Audio".

Dell Audio is the main page. Maxx Audio 4 is the audio program within it. When I click on one of the Maxx Audio features, I receive the message: "AUDIO ENHANCEMENT FOR THIS DEVICE IS DISABLED".

I have several Dell Inspiron desktops. The Dell Inspiron 3847 is one of two that I am having the problem with. I purchased it just a few months ago.

Realtek is listed on the Dell site as the actual sound hardware/driver for the Inspiron 3847. You would have to access the "My Dell Downloads" for any applications software that is provided such as an audio enhancement (if there is one).
