Never mind. Here you go: Conexant High Definition Audio Driver Version 4.98.9.0

    It works for both.

It might, but I cannot guarantee it. The best option for gaining better audio is to buy a better sound card, but having the right drivers always helps.

"You can't install drivers for hardware you don't have"
I can't make it anymore clear, audio drivers are not generic, you have to use the ones that match your hardware or you risk confusing things, fortunately Windows is now smart enough to not try and use the wrong drivers.

While you may have installed the realtek drivers before it's possible you were only getting the Realtek mixer and it was acting as a front end to the existing drivers. This can happen but not with the more recent releases.

If you want things to sound better you need drivers specifically for your laptop and/or use external speakers.

Drivers made for the laptop can have a preset EQ curve that gets the most out of the small internal speakers.

Aphelion, I think he was referring to the correct drivers, which I had provided.

You're probably right... I was just going on the general info provided earlier.

I grew up learning computers when there was no one around to help you out so I sometimes lose perspective.
