    Windows 7 Home Premium 32xbit front jacks/panels doesn't work

I have a really frustrating problem...
    My front panel/jacks won't work..
I tried installing realtek audio drivers..
    But no audio manager..
I downloaded the drivers from realtek website
Others say it is already packed in with the codecs..
I mean the audio manager is already packed with the codecs.
There's no icon on the taskbar
and no realtek control thingy in the control panel
My headset and my mic doesn't work on the front panel
    The rear panel is fine
But I want my front jacks
Tried searching on the webs.. But couldn't find any audio manager
I installed the drivers and restarted over and over..
Still nothing.. Mind helping me out?
    Please... I really need assistance..

I have ASRock G31M-S for my motherboard
    Intel Core 2 Duo
    Nvidia GeForce 9500
    Memory is 4GB

I'm really pissed... But I'll check out the BIOS

This is probably a silly question but have you checked to be sure those front panel jacks are connected correctly?

Stupid question time. You sure your motherboard has the Realtek audio and not the Via audio? Seems Asrock released that motherboard with one or the other,

    ASRock > Products > G31M-S

    Audio- 5.1 CH Windows® Vista™ Premium Level HD Audio (ALC662 / VIA® VT1708S Audio Codec)
They also have the driver download for both in a single download,

    ASRock > Products > Motherboard > G31M-S > Download

They even have separate manuals for both,

    ASRock > Products > G31M-S > Manual

with the only difference between the two being one shows the Realtek n the specs and the other shows the Via. If it does turn out to be the Via and not the Realtek get the driver from Via (work your way through the dropdown till you get to Audio and 1708S),

VIA Drivers Download - VIA Technologies, Inc.

as it is quite a bit newer than the one from Asrock.

Do you have all the latest windows updates?
I know you checked the audio drivers, but do you have ANY yellow warnings in device manager?
Stormy is right on - it looks like VIA® VT1708S Audio Codec

You're going to want to install the drivers available for your motherboard either from the ASRock website or from the CD included with it and that should get you up and running.

Pretty much I'm not sure. But thanks for the links..
I'll try it out some other time.. My dad got pissed at me and told me to turn it back to XP.. Well.. Blasted... I'll check it out when upgrading again..

    @Lemur I don't have much updates..
But I don't see any yellow warnings..

Pretty much I'm getting the feeling it's VIA..
I tried the disc for the motherboard drivers.. But the comp doesn't see any drivers that's worth installing.. I even went to the BIOS and still no slice..
Enabled the front jack and still nothing.. Cranked up the DevMan and I don't see any front jacks or whatsoever in the sound devices.. Installed the Realtek drivers and trying to find the audio manager and still no slice.. The realtek drivers I'm meanin are the ones on the net.. Something like R2.51 or whatever file name was that.. Stormy13 may be right..
