    Microphone problem

Used to use my Dell Inspiron 1525 without any issue when it came to skype.

However I recently upgraded to Windows 7 and now I'm having issues with the microfone.

    It's just not working properly

It works for sometime and then you can't hear anything anymore (for the person your chatting with on skype).

Basically it keeps going on and off sort of.

    What could the problem be?

If you go into Skype don't you have microphone/sound settings?

You remember to install the Realtek audio driver?

Â Audio: Realtek* ALC Audio Driver

You could probably use the latest directly from Realtek,

Latest Realtek HD Audio Driver Version

but not sure if Intel may have done something with it that the reference drivers won't work.

    Hey
Sorry for the very late reply. Been really busy with college and have had no time to log in to the forums.

Yes I installed all the realtek drivers and yet it did not work

I guess I'll have to get an external microfone
