Hi there
If only it were that simple -- the X doesn't do anything on my version and the browser tab won't close.
I've gone back to the previous version as a decent fix.
As I originally said a lot of apps start out just fine -- and then have so many "extra features" on them that aren't really wanted that the programs become unuasable or bloated.
For example for simply burning DVD and CD's and making bootable ISO's who uses NERO 10 anymore --ovehyped over priced and overbloated. Versions 6 and 7 were probably the best Nero had --now I can't be bothered.
Even Photoshop is beginning to get a bit overloaded -- but this is probably an exception to the rule as the extra features (once you've learned them) really ARE OK but most other applications -- usually newer versions aren't as good after the application reaches a development peak.
Another example is in the area of email clients -- for very simple uses there was NOTHING wrong with Outlook Express -- lots of people don't need all the task managers, calendars, facebook integration etc provided by Outlook 2010 or other email clients.
So if you are a Software developer - by all means add on stuff if you want to but PLEASE keep the SIMPLE LITE versions available or allow people to CHOOSE whether they want to have all the extra stuff when they install a new version.
Cheers
