Windows 7: Philips SHM6103U.

A friend had given me a headset to use since my old one had stopped working which works perfectly on his computer even to the extent he done a commentary with it the previous night. I had attempted to plug it into my computer via 3.5mm sound and mic port. Currently I receive sound playing threw both my speakers on the headset but when I attempted to track the sound going into the mic there's no reading but my friend used it the previous night and it worked no problems.
