| | No recording device found Have just bought an ACER Aspire Timeline 5810TG laptop which came with vista but I installed Windows 7 home premium upgrade 32 bit. Everything works except the microphone, I get the message "No recording device found" even though the device manager says the microphone is working correctly. I believe a new driver is required but which one and how do I get and install it? If anyone can help I'd be extremely grateful. |

| | First suggestion is to go to Acer and download the Win 7 audio driver and install that. I have an Acer laptop that I upgraded from Vista to Win 7 and fortunately everything worked. But some others may not be as lucky and in that case the first step is to go to the vendor and download Win 7 drivers or updated drivers. |
