How do i fix the really low audio playback?

when plugging in my headphones to my pc via my Trust 3.1 sound system or through the computer desktop itself i have to turn it up to insane levels just to hear it at a half decent level?

i have no sound card just built in microsoft sound or whatever....

Tekken179, You may already have done this, but if you right-click on the the little speaker icon that, in my case, is on the far right next to the time, you can then click on "Open Volume Mixer" and raise the volume levels there. Gerry
