    Laptop Audio Output broken, remedy?

I have a Dell Latitude E5400 and the audio output is broken so I can't use headphones or speakers only the stock laptop speakers.

I was wondering if there was a way to switch the audio ouput and mic input. I have done some reading on this site and there is a way to do it with the Realtek driver but unfortunately my laptop doesn't seem to support it.

    Is there any other solution?

Thanks and hope to hear from you guys soon.

    Hello,

Thanks for the reply but I already looked through Dell's site before and they don't have a Realtek sound driver, only a IDT driver. I'm thinking about purchasing a USB earbud/headphone but I really want to save that as the final option.

    Anything else guys ?

Your board has the IDT chip.
Realtek drivers are for boards that have the Realtek chip.
Does the IDT driver for Windows 7 32 bit, work?
