What looks confusing to me is that there is a sound card listed as via HD audio yet I did not see the correct control panel window for the settings to direct the output for the sound. I feel sure that the AC97 is not plugged in and the HD plug is inserted in the MB. This just looks like the drivers were not installed correctly.
hello have we tried looking in the services to make sure you have not missed anything not running at start up ?
what DirectX do you have installed? go to control panel> performance information> and tools and click advanced tools> click view advanced system details in system information open components in the tree on the top left and click on sound device , and see what windows tells you post a screen shot if you will.

I had this problem myself. I honestly do not recall the exact steps I did to fix it. I did a complete uninstall of everything and then allowed windows 7 to do the install and that did work but I think you already did that. There is a conflict between the drivers for sure. This was before I installed the Creative Titanium card, so I do understand what your problem is. I am sorry I can't just fix it for you but I am trying to recall what I did that worked.
hello hello:) well i cant see no reason why not its a shame to take this step and spend money i no but as my opinion i would try it
