Sound muted

    Sound muted


    Friend just bought a new Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop.

    It seems like the sound is muted every time the computer starts.

    Almost no new programs on there yet except I've installed LogMeIn free.

    Any ideas?

    Try going to your PC's manufacturers website and see if any updated drivers are available.

    Does he have Ubuntu installed on the laptop? After some research the only thing I see causing this issue is if Ubuntu has been introduced to the machine.

    In front of your notebook you may very well have keys to increase, decrease and mute volume. Check that out first.

I can unmute my speaker. I always use the quick key (f11) if i want disable or enable my speaker. but now my speaker is always mute. i can't make a speaker on, although i press the button (f11) and same with maunal way. i was try to up the volume but my speaker is still mute. whats happen? please...
Muted everytime

I use MSN to talk to my friends. Everytime we connect, the microphone on my laptop are muted. i have to go to cp to unmute it. What is the error? how to fix it?
