Windows 7: Windows Media Player not updating

I just freshly installed Windows 7 on a friends computer, they bought it from my recommendation, now they are upset cause their music in the music folder isnt being added to WMP, which is their choice for music playback, what is it I need to do, to add the music. I didn't have this problem for me.

Ok click file in the menu bar, then select manage libraries then select music . a window will open for you to browse to the root folder for the music ,if there is several locations just add them all.

To enable the menu bar right click at the top of wmp to the left of the play ,burn and sync buttons, when the pop out comes select show menu bar.
