Windows 7: Sound Source Switching ?

Sound Source Switching ?

Probably a real dumb question, but will blame it on old age.

Have a relatively new HP desktop PC with one of their cheaper sound cards.
Not the integrated sound card you usually hear about.

Works fine, and I have it connected to a pair of external speakers.
Can hear internet audio and other audio thru the PC fine

However, I now would like to input, thru the rear PC jacks, a different sound source; one originating from the output jacks of a shortwave radio.

Question: how do I tell the PC to switch between the internal sound source that the PC grabs, and this new one originating from the radio ?

Is there usually something on the sound card card config. to do this ?

Or, is it a W7 application that does it ?

Not too sharp with this stuff anymore, so any help would be appreciated.

Are you trying to listen to more than one sound source that has a 3.5mm audio jack as it's output?

Thanks for help.

The output of the radio, which I would like as the audio alternate source, does have 3.5 mm spigots for it's output jacks.

Wish to be able to switch between the radio's output (to go thru the PC) or the normal PC audio from whatever site.

I accomplish this with a source selector box. Mine is unavailable for public purchase, unfortunately, as it was made for Altec Lansing speaker displays, but this will serve the same function:

Hi All, I have a pair of Wireless headphones plugged into the 3.5mm Jack in the back of my PC, I also have a 5.1 Surround System connected via TOSLINK. Is there a gadget available to allow "one-click" switching between the two outputs? Cheers, Tom
Switching from USB to analog sound stopped working...
Hello everyone, I recently got a Tekmotion Yapster for Christmas. Before I was using a basic Logitech USB mic. My Tekmotion Yapster uses analog. So I plugged in my Tekmotion and it seems to detect my microphone, however it does not detect my audio. So I opened "Sound" and I looked in the playback...

Sound randomly switching between headphones and laptop speakers.
I have looked quite a bit for my problem, and perhaps a fix to my problem and I have never been able to find one. I've tried Microsoft fix-its, they do not work. Basically my problem is at random times, my headset will just stop working and it will switch back to my laptop, as if my headphones...
