Windows Media player won't play anything!
I've recently purchased a laptop with Windows 7 Home x64. I've tried playing dvd's, wma, mp3's, mp4's, avi's, etc, but none of them will play on it! I've tried other programs and they run just fine on them. What is going on?

Somewhere on the 3rd rock from the sun.
Your post is a bit unclear. Are you trying other programs on the same computer? Programs other than *which * program?
Are you trying the same media on other
computers
? If so, does the laptop have Home
premium
or Home
Basic
?

It's home premium. I'm trying programs other than Windows Media player. And the media runs on other computers.
And those media codecs didn't work.
UPDATE: I got it to work! Turns out that my sound and video drivers weren't configured right.
