Music writing program

Hi. I have recently bought 'Finale Songwriter' On trying to use it on computer withWin7 there is not joy. There is too much to report of all what is wrong but it works when installed on a computer with XP. However, a couple of problems are: 1. that after writing about 12 notes, on playback it misses out 4 or more of the first notes. And 2. the cursor just stops on a note and a jagged sound occurs. So what could the problem be, please. Cheers.

Hi Ali,

Are you running as a standard user, or as a user with administrative privileges (right-click, select Run as administrator)?

See if anything on their support site helps: Support

Hi. Thanks for reply. I tried what you said. I thought at first that was what it was? But then it played-up again. Also, I looked on that site you gave. Also, I have done on SongWriter Forum - and I left a question. But I have had no joy so far. This is why I posted on this Forum because the program goes OK on XP but not on my computer which has Win7. I have looked in places via Control Panel and all seems OK? Can you think of places to check. Could it be one of the cards is not up to what it should be?

Music Editing Program
I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. What I need is an easy to use editing program that works on 64 bit. Free would be better but I would pay for one if it's the better one. I'm fixing to start converting some of my vinyl to CD.
