Here is the audio driver for your Acer Notebook .. this driver will need to be installed in Windows XP compatibility mode .... Compatibility Mode

Second driver in the list. Zip file.
Service & Support

After extracting all files from the zip folder right click driver file and then left click "Compatability Mode"

Hi xbbx, welcome to the forums, you have been given excellent advice by Tews and HopalongX ,both have provided you with the link to the driver . the installation failed because you did not follow their instructions correctly, repeat the process again correctly

xbbx, right click on the "qta0066a.inf" file and select "install" , this will load the information into the windows driver database, go to device manager and select the device right click and select "update driver" and point to where you extracted the downloaded files , if you have any more problems please post back

xbbx, Are you running the installation process as "Administrator" ? Many people have upgraded your version of the laptop and successfully installed all the drivers , Take a deep breath , relax and have another try, dont give up yet
