    help me with the front audio panel :(


    hey guys! i'm new here, i just installed windows 7 yesterday, and i having a problem with my front audio pane both headphone and mic are not responding when i plug it in .i had Xp before, and the front panel worked without any problems, but now i can't get it working... tried the , newest driver, tried from bios (onboard audio ---enabled) and i cannot get it to work... there is one more thing when a put headphone jack in front panel it did no detect it but when i pluged mic into front panel just for a second i heard song for the headphone(which was i am playing that time),all is it just detect my headphone for a second that means it is working ,and plz dont tell me to "disable front audio detection" from realtk because all i get in my realtek manger is "enable jack detection when pluged-in"....so plz guys help me out ..i am not a computer genius so plz.....
    and yes,this is my pc configuration:

    Hi crysisdark and welcome to Windows 7 Forums

    I think that this could be because you have HD audio on your motherboard, but are using an AC'97 front panel (as the vast majority of users are). See AC'97 and HD audio front panel layouts for an explanation. As regards the difference in behaviour between XP and Vista/Windows 7, this is entirely down to the driver.

    I know that you probably don't want to hear this, but I suggest that you do check Disable front panel jack detection and possibly uncheck Enable auto popup dialog, when device has been plugged in. It should be pointed out that you will only get complete functionality with an HD front panel, and whilst these are available they are not common.

    hey my front audio panel worked on windows 7 but sometime ago i replaced my motherboard and since it is not working.i also replug them from MB just for the sake if they are not properly plug in but still its not working

    front panel is not working


    hey guys i am having very annoying problem,i was a xp user but last november i upgraded to windows 7 .the very annoying problem i am facing now is that my pc's front pannel is not working(as it worked perfectly on windows xp),i installed all the new driver from realtek site but nothing work ,i already posted a thread in here last months but nobody gave a proper answer but a good man told me to install realtek ALC880 (as i told him all my story about the front pannel)but the problem is by this driver only my headphone is working not my mic and i want to work both of them
