Are you using the GREEN speaker jack on the rear? It has the same audio out as the front headphone jack. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home Built OS Windows 7, 64 bit Professional. That doesn't make much sense, who made your computer? You sure that the rear one hasn't broken from overuse (constant pushing in and pulling of speakers/headphones)? The rear and front are indeed the same, and only software settings can change that. Play with your settings, see whats up. make sure wires aren't loose. Green is the one you want to use btw. Perhaps, like mine did a while back, the headphones themselves wore from use and the bass isn't picked up as well. try other speakers/headphones to test this out. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built PC (In French it is called "PC de moi") OS Windows 7 Professional x64 CPU Intel Core i7-3820 CPU OC @ 3.80GHz Motherboard Gigabyte G1.Assassin2 Memory 8.00GB (2GBx4) DDR3 1866MHz Graphics Card Nvidia-Gigabyte GeForce GTX 580 1.5GB SLI-soon 680 Sound Card On board Creative SB X-Fi Monitor(s) Displays acer 24" H243H Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Microsoft Comfort Curve 2000 Mouse Tek Republic Wired Laser 3600 dpi Gaming Mouse PSU Silent Pro 1000w gold 80+ Case Azza Hurrican 2000 Cooling Liquid CPU cooler & fan Hard Drives 120GB OCZ Vertex III SSD,

Suggestion 1 - uninstall the sound in the Device Manager (do not uninstall the drivers) then restart the PC. When windows starts it will detect and reinstall it. Then try the speaker jack.
Suggestion 2 - if #1 did not work, reinstall the sound driver (or if ASUS has a later driver download and use that) and then try the reart jack.
Suggestion 3 - disconnect the front panel audio cable at the motherboard. That will only leave the rear jack and see if that makes a difference. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home Built OS Windows 7, 64 bit Professional. I can't think of anything else, software wise, to suggest you try. It may be the chip has a hardware problem and if that's the case you will have to install a separate sound card. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home Built OS Windows 7, 64 bit Professional. I start to think that on the back panel is design with speaker 2.1 channel with subwoofer or higher, but not design with headphone. But in the front it has somekind of bass booster and design to use with headphone/headset."I know this problem since i buy the sennheiser HD280 headphones i has really great bass on the front panel but really freakin dull bass/no bass at all. With $100 headphone it doesnt make sense with no bass as i told it earlier. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 ultimate 64bit CPU Intel Core2quad Q8300@3,0ghz Motherboard Asus P5Q pro turbo Memory Corsair XMS2 4gb DDR2800 Graphics Card XFX HD4870 512mb stock clock Sound Card Onboard Monitor(s) Displays AOC 2330V 23inch 1920x1080 Keyboard Rosewill wired Mouse Logitech V220 PSU Rosewill 630w 80 PLUS Bronze CrossfireX ready Case Rosewill ATX Cooling CPU:Arctic cooling freezer 7 pro VGA:Zalman VF1000 Hard Drives Western digital 750gb 32mb cache Internet Speed Verizon 25mbps |
