How do i turn up my center speaker to hear voice better?

I just bought a logitech x-540 and the same thing is happening that happend on my old one. It sounds great but when im listening to music or watching a movie i can barley hear the peoples voice. How can i make voice go through all 5 speakers or turn up just the center speaker? This is really getting annoying.

Also i have a Rocketfish 5.1 gaming sound card.

    Thanks

goto your speaker adjustment by the clock and right click it and open playback devices then highlight the speakers and goto configure and you should have selections for surround sound and what not. And do some configuring on the properties button as well
Ive tryed that and changed around just about everything and it still sounds the same... Could it be my sound card? Its was a fairly cheap card so im thinking that might be the problem.

Does your sound card have an entry in the control panel for modifying the input/output of the speakers, there's got to be something. Or else it could be just a poor quality card, maybe soundblaster setup is what you require....
Nope theres nothing to change individual speakers. How do i setup a soundblaster?

I've been researching your components for about an hour--from what I can determine--you will get better sound and better control over it by using the integrated VIAź VT1828S that's already part of your Motherboard.

    here's a review of it:
New VIA Vinyl VT1818S and VT1828S HD Audio Codecs - Legit Reviews

try unplugging your speakers from the Rocketfish and connect them to your standard audio jacks on your motherboard...if onboard sound is disabled--enable it and/or install the drivers.

Thanks man! I took back the rocketfish and im using the onboard audio. Do you know of any good "settings software" to configure it? Not sure if your familiar with my system but there is something called Matrix. Which turns 2.1 surround sound into 5.1 (for some reason the side speakers wont work) so i have to turn on the matrix but if i do that there is no voice, like peoples voices on movies and music. Also there is no voice on my headphones if the matrix is on or not.

This surround sound deal is driving me crazy, ive spent 200+ dollars and it still wont work right. Im about to sell it all on ebay and go back to my 10$ usb speakers from walmart
