Help needed to stop Windows sound

I use Windows 7 Pro 64-bit and have all Windows sounds turned off. I also have Outlook's sound turned off when message arrives.

That done I am still getting Outlook sound bell when a reminder pops up.

What else can I do to ensure that no sound is played?

This is important as I do audio editing and use the Windows "stereo mix" facility so any output that goes to my headphones or sound editing software gets mixed.

    regards,

    Hi Beemer2,

If you go to File > Options, and then click the Advanced option, you can turn off the reminder sound as shown in the image below. Click OK to apply the change, then exit and re-enter Outlook.

This image is actually from Outlook 2010, but it will be very similar in Outlook 2007.

Let us know if that works or you.
