Creative Sound Blaster Live 5.1 - Bass, Treble Balance

    Hello,
I have Creative Sound Blaster Live 5.1 running with EMU10K1 driver on Windows 7 7260 x86 build.

Sound is OK, but there is a problem with Bass and Trebele Control - this control is freeze on minimum and doesn't work.

Please, anybody have idea? Thank you very much.

Seeing as there is zero support in the way of drivers for that card from Creative (and never will be), as it was declared EOL a few years ago. If you haven't tried them the best i can suggest to have a hope of getting the card to work even remotely properly in Windows 7 is this,

SB Live! series Support Pack 1.0 (04/04/2009) - Sound Blaster - Creative Labs

SB Live 5.1 Bass- Treble Balance Problem

I have the same problem, i have been googling and binging all day long, I installed my driver fine, but i cant move bass-treble control.

The "SBLive_SupportPack_1_5" doesnt work for me, my goes to blue sceen when i try to install it.

Is there any other way to fix it? Any other software that you recommend to controll
    the bass & treble? :)

    ShahriarAhsan welcome to the forums.

In your case if what you have listed in your specs is correct your card is the Dell OEM version, and it didn't get the best support even when it was new (had its own drivers separate from the rest of the SB Live cards).

In your case you would be better off either using the onboard audio on your motherboard or looking at getting a new sound card, than trying to get it to work with Windows 7.

    Beta driver for SB Live!

I got my SB Live! External (sb0490) working with a beta driver from Creative dated Nov. 2009. It takes a search to find the file USB_PCDRVBETA_US_1_01_0098.exe. I found mine at Creative's site in Turkey! It's an unsupported driver, so your mileage may vary.

Google Daniel K or KX Audio, choose which one you like best and enjoy. Daniel K might have to be downloaded via torrent, I've herd the linked ones on creative's site are 'broken'

The ones from the Creative site are the stripped down versions which are the only ones they allow Daniel K to post on the Creative site. If you want the "real" drivers with all the bells and whistles you will need to google for torrent. They are out there if you look around for them.
