Sound Icon in Systray will not open Sound Dialog

I recently installed a new Logitech G930 headset on my Win 7 x64 system. It has had problems from the beginning. The problem is the Sound Control will not open when you try to. It is definitely related to the G930 software as if I uninstall it everything is back to normal. At times it may take many minutes and eventually open up . Leads me to indicate it is trying to open, but it is hung up. I may open a webpage or something and then it will open. Seem to be a hangup issue.

    What I have done-

Installed the software 3 different times. Same result each time
    Clean boot- Same result.

I have been around the block on this one with Logitech support. No success. I really don't want to return these, but if this continues I will have to.

    Does anyone have any pointers?

    Hello SJMaye,

You might see if this Sound shortcut may be able to work as a workaround until a solution is found for your issue.

    Hello Shawn,

I appreciate the speedy reply. I downloaded and tried. The desktop shortcut it creats is performing the same as the systray icon.

Whether I try to open the sound control panel via systray or through control panel and now your icon is simply will not open reliably. Most times it appears to hang. May take 20 - 30 seconds to open. if at all.

I'm assuming that you are, but still have to ask if you using the latest version of the G930 software?

After reviewing the Event Viwer. I see countless application hangs for the G930 software. I am in the process of returning this headset.
