Better Conexant drivers?
Hello! I have a Gateway P-7811FX. It's sound card is a Conexant, and I was wondering if there were any alternative drivers for it. The generic windows ones are good, especially because Windows sees the speakers and headphones as different devices. The Conexant ones show them both as one device in the Windows "Sound" control panel item. With this setup, I can't have separate volumes for headphones and speakers and I might plug my headphones in at full volume. The Conexant drivers, however, let me access the built-in microphone (in the webcam I think).
So, is there a driver around that lets me use the microphone and have separate "Speakers" and "Headphones" devices?
