Windows 7: Advanced Volume Controls on the desktop?

Hey all,

This isn't really a Windows 7-specific question, but this has become by first stop for most things computing lately, so I'll pose it here

Is there an application that I can keep running that will let me quickly turn on/off the subwoofer channel?

I know I can right-click on the volume control in the taskbar, go to playback devices, properties, levels, and adjust from there... but I'd like to expediate the process so I can keep from waking roommates up in the middle of the night.
