Audio glitches in windows 7 Gday, I have a hp notebook i have recently reinstalled fresh windows 7 over windows vista not as an upgrade but as a complete new install the sound in windows 7 is amazing it sounds like you have a band playing in the room, I use this laptop mainly for my dj and use itunes to install or my songs, but i have noticed while playing these tracks occasionly there seems to be an audio glitch that comes through each song i play, only for 1 sec every 1 or two minutes very frustrating on such amazing sound, any ideas on how to fix or remove such a glitch problem, I was using ffdshow codecs but i unistalled them and that seems to have slowed the glitches down a bit, i am also using sandbox hd audio which when blended with 7's hd audio sounds amazing, your advice will be greatly appreciated regards Bender. | My System Specs |

first suggestion I have to find out which sound card is in the laptop and then check with the manufacturer (HP) to see if they have an updated or beta driver available through their website. This solved it with my Compaq Cq60-211DX laptop with the Windows 7 beta 6000 release... but after a fresh install of 7100 it was fixed so no need to do it again with the latest release for me. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom built desktops and a Compaq CQ60-211DX laptop OS Win7, XP, Vista x64, Ubuntu 9.04 CPU Desktops: E6600, E2140, XP3000+; Laptop: Celeron 585 Motherboard Desktops: GA-EP35-DS3P, GA-P965-DS3, A7N8X Memory Desktops: 4GB, 3GB, 1GB; Laptop: 2GB Graphics Card Desktops: 320MB 8800GTS, 128MB 7300GTS, 128MB 9600XT Sound Card Creative or onboard Monitor(s) Displays 19" widescreen, 17" CRT, 19" CRT, and 15.6" LCD on laptop. problem found SRS audio SandBox was the culprit, I installed this for extra hd codec and equalizer which sounds great, but was causing audio glitches, now I have uninstalled it everything is great again, No more Glitches, so what would be a good equalizer to use for windows 7, the media 12 version is to small to see, there must be something that will work without interfering with the other audio codecs regards Bender. | My System Specs | | OS windows 7 CPU dual core Motherboard gygabyte Memory 2gb Graphics Card 8600gt Sound Card realtek Monitor(s) Displays widescreen lg PSU intel dual core 3ghz Case coolmaster atex Hard Drives 500gb seagate System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell E520 OS 7600x64 RTM CPU Intel® Q6700, 2.66 GHz stock clock (upgraded) Motherboard Dell Memory 4g (upgraded) Graphics Card Sapphire Radeon Toxic HD 3870 512MB GDDR4 (upgraded) Sound Card HT Omega Claro Plus (upgraded) Monitor(s) Displays 22' , 40" Screen Resolution 1050, 1080p Keyboard dell Mouse dell PSU Zalman 600w (upgraded) Case Dell Cooling stock Dell Hard Drives 1.5tb (upgraded) Internet Speed 100m Fiber optical Other Info Bought the Dell secondhand for cheap and upgraded cpu, vga, ram, soundcard, psu and HDD's.
