Unable to hear DTS Audio and Dolby Digital test sounds
Recently,I've played video clips which are encoded with Dolby Digital, and the Dolby mark was shown in the lower left corner of Windows Media Player.
Now,when I try to play those videos, there is no DD mark in WMP,and the sound is poorer somewhat generally. When I right-click on the Sound icon in the lower right corner of my taskbar, chose Playback devices,Digital audio interface is set as default. On it's Properties,on the tab Supported formats, both encoded formats, DTS audio and Dolby Digital are checked, but when I highlight any of them, and press the test button,I am unable to hear any sound.
Sample rate is set at 48.0kHz,and I can hear sound on the test button there.
How can I get back my Dolby Digital, and regain the sound quality I've had before on Windows 7 x64 SP1?My sound card is Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio, and it gives a high quality sound on my Windows XP system (this is dual boot).
Looking forward to any response,
