    I have to make another post so this goes on noticed by the thread started whose looking for help. Read the quoted statement below:

When Windows 7 was installed, some of the drivers have to be installed again and to do that, you have to run the motherboard's setup CD because it most likely contains the driver specifically designed for the built-in sound adapter. So if you have a motherboard's setup CD, run it. But whether or not that will work with Windows 7 is a question but better than not getting a compatible driver at all.

    If your BIOS screen looks like this picture, use the right arrow key to highlight "Advanced" and look around in there. (Ignore the part circled in red - that's the best picture I could find for your board and what's marked has nothing to do with what you're trying to find.)
