MP3 Player that WORKS in Win7 Ultimate x64

haven't found one that works over the long haul.
iTunes degrades over time 'til it becomes unworkable.
WinAmp gradually degrades 'til it becomes fragmented and unreliable.
REalplayer has issues... like its HUGE and invasive...
MediaPlayer will not play a simple MP3 file

    ?

Have you tried Zune? it is my favorite media player, it looks really good and i have never had any issues with it in the past, you can download it here and try it out.

If you can't get a media player to work properly, either you have some user installed software that is causing the problem or you have a Windows problem - but not related to which version of Windows you have.

I personally use Foobar2000 and very happy with it. It's quite fast, lightweight and reliable.:)

I use Zune Player, iTunes, and WMP. all of them play my music just fine and work perfect in Win7 64bit.
I am still on my original Win7 install, 19 months now and everything is fine.

I've had Mediamonkey Gold and Foobar2000 on my computer since November '09 and neither has degraded in any way. WMP12 is there too, of course, but I only use it for watching videos.

And now that I have an iPod Touch, I do have iTunes installed, but I duplicated my MP3 folder for iTunes, just in case. I didn't want to have all the time and effort I'd put into proper ID3 tagging and ReplayGain scanning, etc. be ruined by any new program.....call me paranoid, if you will, but so far, so good.

My 5 or 6 other MP3 players run just fine with my existing files, so I wanted to be sure they were preserved, without having to bust out the backup drive.

Another vote for VLC - it plays just about anything.
