Windows 7 - No HDMI for sigmatel

im using a dell xps m1330, sigmatel 9228 audio... the audio will work through the speakers, but once i plug in my hdmi cable and switch the default device to hdmi, audio will not come out of my tv. i know it works because i installed vista just to test it and it worked there. anyone know of a fix for this or what drivers to use?

i know it works with sigmatel audio drivers because on my dell inspiron 1525 it worked on Windows 7 ultimate(uprgrade from vista) up until yesterday then when i came home after dinner i did my usual.... Plugged my hdmi cable from my TV into my pc where USUALLY my hdtv is an extended desktop of my laptop ... video worked just no sound.... after looking around my laptop for a little bit i realized that a windows update was installed sometime yesterday and since then my laptop HDMI audio w/ sigmatel drivers do not work!!!! i have literally tried everything and cannot get it to work... my only solution to this problem is using an RCA cable plugged into my headphone slot and then plugging the red and white (left n right stereo) cables into my surround sound system... I know there were problems that other people were having before... i did not have a problem up until yesterday 8/8/09 with my HDMI port on my laptop... i believe M$ intended on fixing the issues that SEVEN has been experiencing with HDMI playback however i believe they took two steps back because in the past 24hrs i have noticed this is a persistant problem circulating around many Windows 7 forums!!!

This is not a Windows 7 Problem, I had this problem when I upgraded my laptop Dell Inspiron 1525 from Windows Vista to Windows.. After the upgrade I was able to view the picture on my samsung LCD but there was no sound
I had sigmatel Audio in my notebook
i found the driver from Intel Web site for Intel 965 Chipset
you can download it from there web site and it works
