No audio output device is installed...

For a while now(speaking in month terms), my sound would be working just fine. But sometimes when I put it into hibernate(for the night) and turn it back on, my speaker icon would have a red X over it. The only way this goes away is if I leave the computer off for a long time or, spam restarts(lol). What can be the problem here? My guess is that it's getting old or something. Sometimes, the sound works again at random times. When that happens I try to leave the laptop on since shutting it off in away way gets rid of it. But while it was on for a few days, the sound went away without notice.

Also, when I try to find it in the device manager, it doesn't show up. It can't even detect it either.

My laptop is an HP pavilion dv2610 btw

Apparently, I just fixed it. What I did was run Windows Startup Repair. But it took too long so tried to cancel it. But since it didn't let me cancel, I just forcefully shut down my laptop(holding the button) and restarted, which led to my sound working.
