USB mic settings

i have a usb gaming headset and i want to change the settings for the mic it uses. where can i do this?

right click on the speaker icon in the taskbar (lower right hand corner) and click recording devices. find your headset, and click either configure or properties depending on what you want to do to it.

i've checked there before. only two options are there: line in and realtek digital input.

then it sounds like your drivers may not be installed or the device is disabled... in that screen where you see line in and realtek digital input right click and make sure show disabled is checked. if you see your device now, right click it and enable it, if not then be sure to install the appropriate drivers from the manufacturer.
