Windows 7: compaq internal mic not working after installing windows 7 ultimate

hi there
i am really frustrated about this issue and i have googled it for three hours and found no answer to it
all people suggest is going to the recording sound devices and chescking the solutions there,i have treid the skype robot as well but it doesnt solve the problem i am really getting annoyed here as i need the mic working as soon as possible
is it possible that there are different drivers for the mic or speakers as well?
please get back on how to solve this issue

You really should let us know exactly the make and model number of your system so that we can send you to the right place to find the microphone driver for your compaq/HP machine.

Normally you can go to the manufacturers web site and look under support and downloads to find the correct driver for the devices on your machine. Give that a shot.
