Windows 7 & PodProducer

Hey everybody. I have search the net and have not found really any place to ask for help, as this may be a Windows 7 problem I thought I post here to see what direction I need to go in to. I'm currently using PodProdcuer a podcasting software. In the sound card area in the Device I can see my on board sound card Digital Audio (S/PDIF) and extra sound card C-Media PCI Audio Device. But the main problem I'm having is my Input is always Master Volume. Now in the pass from other software I can choose USB mic, or some other source of audio. Also I have seen something about Master Volume in other post on other sites but in terms of Windows 7 never really understand what the mean when you can set different levels of volumes. So my question I guess is how can I make it so I can change my input location from Master Volume to something else?
